Anne Karczmarczyk resigns from Aspen View Public Schools Board of Trustees

Today (March 21, 2025), Anne Karczmarczyk resigned her position as Aspen View Public Schools Ward 2 (North Central) Trustee, effective immediately, as she no longer resides within the ward in which she was elected.

“I have been a trustee since 2016 and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time representing Aspen View Public Schools locally and provincially,” Karczmarczyk said. “I am very passionate about the work we do and all that we have accomplished. Working with you all – our division office, schools, students and families – has been my honour and I will miss it immensely.

“Rural sustainability has been a major focus for me, my community and our division, and I don’t expect that work to stop.”

"It is with regret that we've had to accept Annie's resignation today, due to moving out of her current ward, and the governing rules of public office," Board of Trustees Chair Candy Nikipelo said. "As a trustee, Annie has been eager to learn, an honest team player, and an absolute pleasure to serve alongside. I am also proud of her integrity in all decisions she contributed to, and I especially thank her for serving her community so well."

Karczmarczyk’s resignation was accepted through a motion passed today by the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees. Karczmarczyk was the vice-chair of the Board of Trustees; a new vice-chair will be selected at the next regular Board of Trustees meeting on April 17, 2025.
