RAP

Earn Credits! Earn Wages! Earn valuable work experience!!!

The Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP) is an Alberta Education program that allows high school students to begin their apprenticeship training while going to high school. The Registered Apprenticeship Program is a program for high school students in Grade 10, 11 or 12 throughout Alberta.

RAP students begin with a 125-hour internship with an employer in one of over 50 registered trades. If you decide to pursue your trade as a career (and your employer is happy with your work so far), you'll get registered as an apprentice and keep working with your employer. Once you're registered, all your working hours will go towards your first year apprenticeship required hours. You'll also earn up to 40 RAP high school credits for your work.
