Scholarships and awards

Students can search for post secondary institutions across Canada. Student Counsellor enables students to input marks and the program will indicate which courses are needed for entrance into post secondary schools. Every high school student in Aspen View School Division has access to this program. Students will need a user name and password to log in. Please see your counselor at your respective school for this information.

Another useful resource is Career Cruising. Career Cruising is a web based resource that assists students in Career planning. Students need to obtain a password from their respective schools.

Every high school has a Career Corner. Career Corners provide students with resources that assist with career planning. In addition, many schools have Employment specialists that are contracted through Alberta Employment, Immigration and Industry. Please check with your respective school to find out the schedules of these specialists.

The Alexander Rutherford High School Scholarship has a value of up to $2500.00. To qualify for the scholarship, a student must have a minimum combined average based on five designated courses in at least one grade: Grade 10,11, or 12. Please see the attached application form for more information.

All high schools in Aspen View also offer scholarships at the local level. Please contact the Career Counsellor or school administrator for more information. Service Clubs, businesses as well as individuals can create a scholarship fund at a school level or at the school division level. Contact info@aspenview.org
